Building Open Terrain Studios in the open

Open Terrain Studios is an independent game studio. We're building our first game, Empires of the Fallen World — and the AI-native engine that makes it.
That's deliberately two things at once, in the Epic mold: a studio that ships games, and the engine technology underneath them. Our engine, Open Terrain Engine, is where an LLM agent authors the game in idiomatic, human-editable C# and verifies it through a deterministic, headless loop. Everything we make, we make on it.
Where things stand
We're early, and we'll be honest about it:
- The game is in design. There's a world taking shape and a clear vision — but no gameplay or dates to share yet.
- The engine is in development. The design is complete; we're building it now.
No fake screenshots, no invented numbers, no launch countdown. When there's something real to show, we'll show it.
